Working Together To Prevent The Spread of Infection



East Tennessee Smoky Mt. Chapter of The Associate for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc.

Our chapter began in 1982 with a small number of local infection control nurses who desired to help their communities and expand the field of Infection Control through education, networking and sharing of resources.
Our current chapter is over 72 members strong and includes professionals from acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, supply vendors, Home Health, University of Tennessee Veterinary Hospital, private individuals, laboratory consultants and local public health departments. We meet the first Tuesday of every month at the Knox. County Health Department, 140 Dameron Avenue, beginning at 12:00 noon.
Membership with our local chapter begins by sending in the appropriate membership category dues plus our local chapter dues to:
